This is something I’ve been very confused about recently with tests in NZ. Rain affected days (not day 5) have gone until like 7:45pm, scheduled close 6pm. I always thought playing hours were much more restricted and haven’t noticed this happening in other countries or in the past
god knows. honestly, the way cricket deals with time regulations is basically immune to logic.

Making up the lost time. Since you're further south you can go a lot later than here
