Kane is so easy on the eyes... Best looking better ever from our shores? Martin Crowe was very elegant and probably had more shots than Kane and a bit more ruthless from memory. Have heard Glenn Turner was likewise.
I think Crowe was the most stylish. It was said he looked good even when he got out. Dipak Patel was a beautiful player to watch, very languid strokeplay. His innings where he was run out on 99 was superb. Ryder is another I'd rate up there in terms of aesthetics. The English commentators compared him to David Gower in his debut ODI's in '08.

All the comparisons with Ryder I heard were for Marcus Trescothick, which is a fair call. Fleming was often compared to Gower in his youth (both in terms of the effortless strokeplay and the habit of scoring beautiful 60's before finding some stupid way to get out).

Much point in batting on now? If NZ can nip a couple out tonight I reckon that's worth more than the extra 50 or 60 we might slog.
