that's former australian odi player sam heazlett to youI think this is the first time I’ve ever seen Heazlett make runs. Still don’t really think he looks good though. Also do you really pronounce it ‘Hazlett’, and why?

I was at that game, hence why I take a mild interest in him. A baffling selection then that only looks more baffling over time. A very early career Lockie Ferguson victim iircthat's former australian odi player sam heazlett to you
Yeah that’s a shocker but Ellis deserves it for that appealdenying a celebrappeal is funny but that's... pretty bad
the real zenith of "we actually have no idea what we're doing in odis atm and don't care to work it out" australian mid-cycle odi selectionsI was at that game, hence why I take a mild interest in him. ok so tbf he averages 54 in List A...so why has he only played 19 games in 5 years?the real zenith of "we actually have no idea what we're doing in odis atm and don't care to work it out" australian mid-cycle odi selections
Also, I remember Marcus Stoinis had a career List A strike rate of like 70 coming into that series and I couldn’t understand his selection, but he basically earned a life-long reputation as an ODI dasher based on his innings in that same gamethe real zenith of "we actually have no idea what we're doing in odis atm and don't care to work it out" australian mid-cycle odi selections
domestic OD tournament was reduced in length around the time he came around, and I think he's missed some due to injuryok so tbf he averages 54 in List A...so why has he only played 19 games in 5 years?
arguably the most deletrious hundred scored in australian cricket in the last five years, given his output sinceAlso, I remember Marcus Stoinis had a career List A strike rate of like 70 coming into that series and I couldn’t understand his selection, but he basically earned a life-long reputation as an ODI dasher based on his innings in that same game
He hadn't actually played for Queensland in List A cricket when he debuted for Australia. He was picked off a mix of "National Performance Squad" games against India A and South Africa A, and I think BBL form.ok so tbf he averages 54 in List A...so why has he only played 19 games in 5 years?
you just got cooper outFeel like constantly wanting to bomb 6s square at the Gabba is low percentage. Straight hitters’ ground.
Yeah this is the case for sure.Feel like constantly wanting to bomb 6s square at the Gabba is low percentage. Straight hitters’ ground.
So really, based on what he’s done in the relevant format since his ODI debut, you could argue it was an inspired selectionHe hadn't actually played for Queensland in List A cricket when he debuted for Australia. It's also easy to miss huge chunks of the Australian List A season given they cram it all into a couple of weeks., and they only played 5-7 games per team now.
Moreover, this season's List A comp hasn't started yet.
So for Queensland he's only played two and half seasons, all after that debut.
