Against my normal instincts I think Stuurman is a better replacement for the Philander type role. I suppose that with Mulder now in the team and playing Maharaj (like they always should) don't need a holding role as much.Sipamla did well in the Supersport Series last year didn't he? Makes sense that he got chosen over Stuurman.
Followed by SL getting bundled out for 150.I'm fully expecting a 215 ao
Betway has become a primary sponsor of SA cricket...oh my god BETWAY is sponsoring this test series?
From what I've seen of him he looks to be a good line and length bowler. His change ups in LO cricket seem a little predictable but I like his action.Against my normal instincts I think Stuurman is a better replacement for the Philander type role. I don't dislike Sipamla getting the nod, I just hope he is ready for it, like SeamUp talks about.
You had to appreciate it even if it was a horrible reality check of SA cricket on so many levels. The highlights of that Perera innings was other-worldly. I doubt I will see another knock like that in my life time. The total set,the state of the innings, the opposition bowlers etc. Top notch.
I find it really tough to get upset at Sri Lanka. Just love the cricketers they produce. I see my boy Angelo is injured agaaaaain. You had to appreciate it even if it was a horrible reality check of SA cricket on so many levels.
Worst home team since readmission?Worst opening pair at home since readdmission?
I think having 3 Black Africans in the side was the deciding factor.Sipamla did well in the Supersport Series last year didn't he? Makes sense that he got chosen over Stuurman.
Harsh but fair.I think having 3 Black Africans in the side was the deciding factor.
Stuurman apparently has a niggle, so wasn't available for selection. The only issue I have with Sipamla's selection is that he was added to the squad after Migael Pretorius, so that's a little tough on Pretorius for Sipamla to jump the queue.Sipamla did well in the Supersport Series last year didn't he? Makes sense that he got chosen over Stuurman.
Given that it seems that Stuurman wasn't available I think it was more four non-white players than three black players which was the criterion.I think having 3 Black Africans in the side was the deciding factor.
You're probably going to have to go back to readmission. This is definitely the least experienced fast bowling attack since then, although that was always going to be the case with Rabada unavailable.Don't know when last I've seen a South African pace attack without a combined 50 wickets between the four of them.
