Nah Bring Colin in at 6, drop one of seirfet or munro and move everyone up one. Asking neesh to bowl 4 overs every game is asking for trouble

Being at eden park that's the strangest t20 I've ever seen . No batsman was ever in despite it being ver flat. Esp for pak. How did they score 155? Seemed like 75 ! And for NZ even seifert never got going but he got a pretty quick 58.
I just dont know . Game was very strange with no bowler or no batsman impressing but no one played bad. All players looked exactly the same.

I wish the black caps learnt and did the haka. If we have to go through shitty national anthems atleast let us do the haka to compensate for **** national anthem lol

i think you guys are reading too much into one off sentences, but yea it was 'understood' in the sky box neesham was on the outer a bit. i mean his posting on here as a kid wouldn't be a great start if some players read it including his former skipper, and since cw he's taken to being sassy on twitter which goes against the whole 'we're really nice people and really boring people in the public eye' thing the 2010s side has going.

Glad to see Chapman play an innings like that, I've always rated him. Hope to see more of that. As much as I love CdG, it's going to be a bit tough to find a spot for him in this side I think?

Depressing if someone got ditched because they have a personality.

watching the first innings replay now. bodes well for nz that pakistan looked so uncomfortable with the pace and bounce facing domestic pros. the top 6 pacers are a level above the guys we fielded last night.

if duffy can add 5-10kph he's got a career ahead of him. atm he's not offering anything jamieson (all formats), southee (tests) and henry (odis) don't already. id have him in the odi squad as second reserve pacer.

Awesome debut from Duffy, couldn't catch all of it but did see the first couple of overs. This is what I have been saying for long, we have very good bench strength now and freshness is needed in T20s. No need to tinker the one day and test line up but T20s definitely need some personnel changes. After how the T20Is went last year during our home season this is very good results. Both WI and Pakistan aren't all that bad in T20. I'd give credit to our bench strength and change in personnel. It's a shame after the game Duffy had he will be side lined for the next couple of games. From memory he was only listed for one game. That is quite stupid to name different squads for the last two without waiting for the result of the first game or should have named all those involved in the first game in the remaining matches as well.

Remember very clearly Ish Sodhi bowled real well and got Kohli in the first one day game then was off to play for NZ A. This is a repeat but bitter pill as Duffy has only debuted.

Chapman was real good, controlled the inning real well....

Off to holiday for couple of weeks, clear instructions from wifey no cell phones, no cricket watching ?

Hoping when I get back we will more good results to savor. Merry christmas lads...

Not when it comes to Neesham - there's been a consistent negativity and heightened blow torch of focus on him for 18 months plus. I mean I agree, he's not operating at his potential, but very few people get the same treatment. In fact no one does.

You don't have to love the bloke, but it's forgotten pretty quickly how much he contributed to our World Cup success and if Gup manages to squirt a two into a gap, it all goes back to Jimmy slapping one into the stand as the moment that got us over the line.

If that's what all it is, he sticks his neck out on Twitter etc and is a different cat, then that's pretty pathetic and says more about McMillan and his cheese cutter especially.

TBH. Duffy seemingly being content to be 70% of the bowler he could be irritates me. Sort that action out man! Watch the Duffy v Popli video that kippax made years ago, that should be the standard. Get that arm high and stay tall.

As for his performance. Delighted he got a good start, really pleasing that 90% of players introduced these last x years do it so effortlessly. Should give him, and others, confidence they can belong at the higher level.

duffy could beat up a lot of subcontinental batsmen with his height, bounce and movement but yea needs to be more if he's going to challenge SENA batsmen.

i love eden park. short boundaries but can be the perfect storm for bowlers when the deck is quick and bouncy and there's swing in the air.

yea i don't disagree, just explaining why.

neesh is fun. he's a rare top sportsman in that he is actually funny, and not just what passes for funny in the high IQ circles of international sport.

He was found not guilty ftr...
Yep, even though it's accepted that the woman said no multiple times and then started crying and looking at the ceiling (which I wouldn't really find to be much of a turn-on, but maybe that's just me).

To me it really illustrates how difficult it is to get a conviction in cases like this, and how easily the defence can create reasonable doubt by subjecting the accuser to prolonged, public slut-shaming in court - in this case, twice. Not to mention the classic "did you say no but not really mean it" line of questioning.

Of course the verdict means he's free to continue his career. But his own account of his behaviour, plus the tactics used in his defence in court, mean I'll never, ever watch any game that he's involved in.

Can't argue with that. Not to mention the reactions from those involved immediately after it happened. :(

without divulging sources or getting cw in legal trouble, im confident kugglejuggle has some improvements to make as a person. he might well make these, but yea.

he also reacts to being sledged about it every time. gains 10kph if you say the r word. if we're going to have this bloke in the side, kane may as well stand at mid-off discussing consent with him.

But Big Daddy Kane don't do no dissing or cussing.
