what that does have to do with rahane calling kohli through and changing his mind? that has nothing to do with "risk-taking", that's just an u13s-tier mistake.
He's saying Kohli has influenced the mentality of the team to the point they think these risky runs are worth it. where as in the past they wouldn't even consider going for it.

The mindset of looking for quick singles when playing a 5 day game is inherently stupid.
eh, it definitely makes sense when you're actually batting. cricket, and especially bowling, is a rhythm game, and anything you can do to maintain your own rhythm by keeping a constant flow of runs and disrupt the bowler's rhythm is a good thing.

yeah it's a good mentality and it's made them a pretty successful team

Got sawn off by my captain last weekend when runs were coming easy enough so may be a little bias but i disagree. You can annoy the bowlers with safe singles
