The ATG Teams General arguing/discussing thread

Cummins only had 3 FC games before his Test debut in SA
One of which was a shield final in which he bowled a ton of overs, impressed everybody and earned him his test spot.

Fast bowlers you can do that with. Batsmen need time to mature their games but with quicks, if they have the right attributes (speed, accuracy and movement) you can pick them Green.

If you replace Taylor with Trumper, that's stronger than every all time XI except maybe WI. Weren't Gilchrist and O'Reilly NSWers too?
The difficulty in selecting estate sides is that you'd have to first decide whether you are going to reward the people who have serve the estate over a long period of time or whether you'd pick the players who went on to excel at the highest level despite performing to a lesser extent in the first class level. Copeland vs Cummins is a fine example for this. Same goes for Gilchrist aswell who only played handful of games for NSW and non as a keeper I think.Anyway if you pick anyone who is eligible regardless of their performances

Taylor
Morris
Bradman
Smith
Border
Imran
Gilchrist
Davidson
Lindwall
O'Rielly
McGrath

As being said, this is probably stronger than any AT test xi

Can anyone from NSW explain to me how you can have an ATG cricket side as good as a Rest of the world side but can't even beat Queensland at rugby?

Because we don't care as much about footy as you guys. Queenslanders walk around in origin jerseys all year round. We only give a stuff for 3 weeks of the year

Queensland and NSW both as bad as each other tbh. No Victorians ever cheated. Though our mums have been known to spike our beans with diuretics

There's a richness of pace talent, not much in the way of spin and three keepers who are lining up to be the second best Australian keeper ever (Healy, Tallon and Grout).
