cool all these thousands of posts to be dismissed as a troll, mind you it's only t20, so i'll live.
Well probably not across your career as a poster, but the flippancy about Gayle's place in history doesn't seem like an opinion that anyone would hold subjectively or honestly. But pardon me if it is, all opinions matter.

Yeah, that's ridiculous. Rahane has no business being there over Hetmyer. As a paying customer, I want to see him (and Pooran) in action any time they are available, in any format or colors.

Gosh RCB have got to be the most frustrating team on the planet. Don't know why I decided to watch IPL this year. Totally ruined my mood.

Same old same old every year. Top heavy, poor middle order, relying on AB to play a blinder every game and a weak bowling attack.

Defending 150 with Siraj as your strike bowler. Good luck with that.

Kohli and his below par strike rate jeopardizing the team yet again.

This strategy of having a below par run rate in the middle overs only to burdenize AB to play a blinder every game was always doomed to fail.

It's going to be the same story every year unless RCB don't address their obvious weaknesses. No coaching change is going to sort that.

Whatever it takes!!!
Seriously, whose ****ing call is it to not utilize Sundar for 3 overs in the powerplay every game? Just start with him and if he goes for runs, then go to plan B. Why the **** is not always plan A?

Do you see Sundar eventually making the transition to long-form cricket like Ashwin? They're virtually clones in every regard aren't they?

Nah.. Ash had a lot more skill with flight and turn than Sundar does but if he can work on it and get better, why not? He has to do it in Ranji first though.

@Arachnodouche You have been on fire with your calls man :)

But yeah I do not see either RCB or DC beating MI with these line ups. I think KKR/SRH have better chance. Lets see. MI might just find it a cake walk.

In fairness RCB gave MI a decent game a couple games ago with Kohli and ABD failing. I'm more optimistic then I have been in a while about RCB - You'd back Kohli to find something closer to his best form next year (and ideally in the playoffs this year), Paddikal has had a good year and ABD is still going strong. Put Parthiv to open with Paddikal - relieving ABD of the gloves, get an overseas middle order batsman and have a lineup of
Parthiv (wk), Paddikal, Kohli, Overseas Batsman, De Villiers, Dube, Morris, Sundar, Saini, Chahal, K Richardson.

De Villiers would get promoted to 4 if we started well but ideally think ideal situation is him coming in at 11th/12th over. Also gives Kohli and other overseas batsman more freedom knowing ABD is still to come in. If they are left-handed too all the better - getting Hetmyer last year looks like a better choice with each passing day its just a shame he wasn't great in matches he played until last game.

I think the bowling is getting stronger too, Morris has done solidly so far, Sundar and Chahal give us arguably the tournament's best spin attack and whilst the pitches slowing down hasn't helped Saini - he's shown promise and was better on the fresher pitches so might be better suited to 2021 tournament in (hopefully) India. Think there are better overseas seam options then Kane Richardson we could pursue in the option but if not he's an upgrade on Udana who has struggled with the ball and hasn't been properly utilised with the bat.

Warner looks so invested in his team. Almost as if he has a point to prove to the CA establishment back home, much like Warne a decade ago.

Holder's lucky there! Pollard's already inflated the target but it could've been much worse if he'd seen out the over. 150 should be gettable.
