What happened to Saeed Ajmal's test career btw? Didn't leave so much of a mark unlike in ODIs but his figures above appear healthy.

All down to bowling action is it?

Edit: just noticed he debuted when he was already 30+ so also got quite old

I just came across below article. I thought Warne always rated Sachin as the best ever by a country mile. His comments in below interview (rating Viv as the best ever he has seen, or hard to imagine anyone better than Viv etc.) were pretty surprising.

Warne never bowled to Viv in international cricket, not sure if he did in any serious game tbh

"Viv is the best batsman I have ever seen. Sachin (Tendulkar) and (Brian) Lara are the two best batters I have played with and now across all formats Virat is just the best. It is tough to think anyone is better than Viv but Virat is pushing that conversation,"

Hi friends, I am interested to know how people here in the forum rate ATGs in ODIs. Please rank them as per how you rate people. If you are interested and most of you post on it, I can total them and provide it here to see the collective view.

Below are some of the criteria I could think of. If possible, please provide the weightage as well when you rank them.

1. Batting/Bowling average
2. Batting/Bowling strike-rate
3. Longevity
4. Clutch performances
5. World Cup performance
6. World Cup knock-out performance
7. World Cup final performance
8. Viewing perception
9. Hearsay from famous cricketers/critics
10. Batting/Bowling Aesthetics

Here is mine.

1. Viewing perception (30%) - I rate people more if I have watched them play and being a fan of them
2. Batting/Bowling average (20%) - Average*Strike rate is an important measure for me
3. Batting/Bowling strike-rate (15%)
4. Longevity (15%) - Definitely one to be appreciated. Not easy to be selected in an international team for a long time without being good
5. Clutch performances (15%) - Be it in WC or outside, out of the world performances and performances in pressure situation
6. World Cup performance (5%)

Whatever it takes!!!
1. Batting/Bowling average - 25%
2. Batting/Bowling strike-rate - 25%
3. Longevity - 15%
4. Clutch performances - 15%
5. World Cup performance - 10%
6. World Cup knock-out performance - 5%

The last 3 are not objective so I am not giving it any consideration if we are doing a statistical exercise.
