*Official* West Indies Tour of England 2020

Woodster

International Captain
Well those two quick wickets have dragged WI right back in it just when it began to look like England were pulling away. To get the two set batsmen was huge, now England are effectively 144-5 and probably going to feel much more comfortable if they can squeeze another 100 runs out of the middle order. Really interested to see how Buttler approaches this.

Buttler can play shots. May as well as when he tries to play as a proper bat he fails as his technique isn't up to it.

Whatever it takes!!!
I did say I fancy Windies to make 200 but boy this is a good game. Crawley looks the goods, thought not sure of him being a #3, has a loose game and all it takes is one bad tour for everything to come crumbling down on him. Wonder if they can get Sibley to bat 3 and let Crawley be the aggressive half of the opening partnership. Might suit him better to go in first up instead of single digits for 1 wicket and help him play his own game.

Will now Crawley is gone. Looks a player though and one big tick for Smith.
I'd have rather he went big, before I gave a big tick, maybe a medium sized one, not too engorged with blood so far. He certainly looks better than Denly as he seems to be comfortable changing gear, which is a big thing for a number 3 (even if he batted 4 here), yet there are a few weaknesses in his game, and we'll see if they can be exploited by bowling attacks, or if he'll work to iron them out, as most Test bats do.

He's still only 22 and a late developer in cricket, so we'll see.

UMPS with an awful decision there never looked out, in almost any way. EDIT Even though it did to some clearly, but looked leg-side to me all the way.

In fairness if Buttler, Pope or Bess don't waste a review on anything bar being caught off the middle or bowled they are stupid given we have 3 to use.

Good review from Buttler, a wicket there would have made things so interesting :(
