Well they are going to have to do something. We were discussing it at work that a new season may not start till the end of September so one of the obvious things to do is to get rid of the League Cup and the Checkatrade Trophy for a season as that would mean you could play more midweek league games to catch up. The trouble is with the euros moving they can't play too many games as the elite players will be tired lambs going into the tournament and they need looking after.

I think whatever is decided some people will moan.

He did.

If Rooney hadn't got injured you'd have to think we make the final at least, though obviously this is a pointless bit of speculation
Yeah, we played OK in 2004. Even against a very good France team, we deserved to be more than one goal up before losing the match due to a couple of individual defensive errors at the end. That's how I remember it, anyway.

Think of all the Sven squads at championships they were playing the best and could/should have gone further. The 2002 World Cup we froze against Brazil and deserved to lose and 2006 was just a shambles.

Great news from the Scottish Government that professional sport can resume.

If only the SPFL hadn't rushed headlong into giving Celtic a league title.

Sparkes plays, great news, very much a modern attacking full-back, and was injured before, probably one of the reason we dropped out of the top 3, which at the time we thought might just be a blip, but then, Sigh. Collins a bit stiff to miss out, wouldn't have Lee Martin in myself, so people should probably back him for first goalscorer.

Yeah I know, no-one cares, but I'm just posting here rather than Exeweb as any comments devolve into a pointless slanging match.

Yeah, the names in your first couple of sentences may as well be written in Chinese as far as the rest of us are concerned. But I know the feeling, frequently being greeted by tumbleweed when I comment on Palace's latest performance.

Pothas will be taking notes of the names hoping to dastardly poach them off us, Sparkes actually was rated as high as Ampadu at one point, but seemed to get annoyed when Amps went off to chelsea and looked a bit luxury as a winger, but as I say this year has come through as a full-back and looks quality.

Law is a beutiful footballer in midfield, but Williams is our main threat, quixotic though, or obviously wouldn't still be here.

You possibly know Dean Moxey, played as they are saying in the United draw all those years ago.

Or possibly not. The only Exeter names I remember are Tony Kellow, Peter Hatch and Lennie Bond. Maybe there was a Randall and a Rogers around then, but I'm struggling badly now.

I know most of the Exeter players on a superficial level as they beat us 4-0 back in October. Not a good day, but all’s well that ends well as they say.

I'm okay with the prem

Championship clubs can gtfo but no problem with the games being played

The play offs are a joke though so

Yes you always said so, so it's good that one of your fake promotions has been effectively rescinded.

Haha, I've not been against the play offs on principle for a good decade or so but well remembered

I'm also impressed that you didn't fall into the trap of calling our 2018 promotion fake

Well played

TBH you used to bang on about it constantly, so it's not that good a get memory wise. Funny how obvious bias towards your team can change fundamental views though.

It can but until 2017 we were nowhere near the play offs and I had long since stopped being anti them

That being said I probably would have still said I hated them as a fan, as in the experience of them, until then. Losing them is horrible and all I'd ever personally experienced from them was misery until Aldershot away. And even though that ended in tears that year - it is still one of the best experiences I've ever had in football.

I actually feel sorry for you and others this year that you'll miss out on that side of it - must be somewhat surreal
