Good bunch of players, not helped by the manager's 4-1-5 formation. That England team should actually have been pretty good.
I got it with English comms by googling. Just at half time.Strangely this is the first one I have seen without English commentary so looking for it elsewhere.
Costa was better than Figo, agreed.I got it with English comms by googling. Just at half time.
Funny, I remembered it as a reckless Keegan performance, but England’s mistake was sitting back at 2-0. They just stopped attacking at all and then Portugal scored 2 absolute screamers.
I’m also trying to remember why Figo was the Portuguese galactico when Rui Costa is the one who stands out.

Haha that is the exact reaction I had yesterday.i'm on the other channel watching Germany v Romania. did not remember Hagi featuring at Euro 2000, although do remember the German team from that time being ****s
Yeah found it straight away. Just got to half time myself, I had totally forgotten how good that Jao Pinto header was.I got it with English comms by googling. Just at half time.

Haha I was thinking of how much Trent reminded me of Beckham a few weeks back. I think they’re the only two players I’ve seen with that ability to be absolutely lethal from deep wide positions.Yeah found it straight away. Rui Costa is one my Dad's favourite players ever so always got fond memories of him, he loved Nuno Gomes as well.
Beckham does to a pretty great Trent impression as well, it is good when some things need no revision whatsoever.
Yeah this is true too, but they attacked very well early on and those players should have been dangerous on the counter. Might have faded in the summer heat, another English tournament trope. It may have been that our midfield was simply outnumbered and over-ran. Obviously not to the extent of my previous comment, but it's hard to attack when you can't get the ball. Looking at the line-ups, I was surprised to see that Ince still featured when he was definitely past his best and probably unable to keep up with the game. Not entirely his fault of course, but can't have helped.
He'd just captained Galatasaray to the UEFA Cup.i'm on the other channel watching Germany v Romania. did not remember Hagi featuring at Euro 2000, although do remember the German team from that time being ****s
I remember on PES his crossing always looked different to every other player and then there it was exactly how I remember in actual football.
I was thinking how much of a handicap it was for England using mediocre utility men instead of actual full-backs, then remembered United were still doing it at the start of this season. Was trying to figure out why Phil Neville was playing. Turns out Le Saux was injured and then I could not really think of anyone else.
Did they beat Arsenal in the final or have I made that up?He'd just captained Galatasaray to the UEFA Cup.
