Taylor has been an absolute spud under pressure this series , had three easy chances and blew them all.

NZ needed 51 from 48 balls with 7 wickets in hand, yet somehow lost the match by 7 runs. Lost 6 wickets for 43 runs. Nuts.

I recall a few games in the t20 format where Taylor has been there at the end and bal have not won. Happened in the last two wc too in a game against saf
Speaking of which, 66 off 60 after that legendary over by dube. Hw the hell did we end up winning so easily after that? Thakur himself bowled some pies the last over

Well was entertaining (if sadly predictable) watching NZ stumble like drunks once the chase became an easy one.

Think I'm done with the idea of Munro, Taylor and CdG as part of the T20 side. Phillips, Neesham, Young, Conway should all be in the frame from now on, as should others like Ravindra, Clarkson, Cleaver, Chapman and anyone else who's not gotten too comfortable with being merely adequate. Southee obviously too, but the batting is a FAR bigger worry.

The decision to wear my White Ferns shirt today rather than a Black Caps one turned out to be very wise.

At the end of this series I conclude Guptill is a shade of himself. He showed that he's not the same anymore in super smash but I thought he will lift his game but never really did. He didn't do bad but not the match winner anymore. Munro's X-Factor is now gone. Again just another opener that has limited ability and stands exposed against good consistent bowling.

Kane very good obviously. Taylor can stick around if he wants to but just wish he calls it a day in T20s. Seifert has good future but the way team is going any loss of form he will be out in no time.

Sodhi fantastic and a sure shot for every game. Santner not so much, he's just there and there abouts. Unlike in the past this series he didn't go as well as he should. His batting is just about suited for no.9 or no.10, no way he should be batting at no.7 Rarely seen him bat well.

CDG, if he's not bowling then he can't pretty much play as a batter. Same with Darryl Mitchell. Bruce, barely seen him and don't know if he's good enough for this level.

Southee, bowls ok when under no pressure but I've had enough.

As much as I search for positives, Kane, Sodhi and Bennett are the only ones I think were good enough. Kuggs is all right on his day but can be expensive and no he can't be a no.8 at this level. Likely no.10 bat.
