Buttler would be an intimidating 6/7 if the top order could put on runs...

Ay, that's the one thing i have sympathy with Buttler on. It's hard to score runs when the team is struggling as a whole and you are always under pressure, especially the style Buttler plays.

He's never really cracked the first class game though. Never quite understood how to bat in fc cricket. Never shown the aptitude that he has in limiited overs cricket in test cricket. He won't be a great loss when they drop him, as harsh as that seems.

Like I keep saying, there must be a serious issue with the way FC batting is coached in England. This seems far too common amongst the talented bats England clearly have.

Bowling will probably just about see them through as it usually does at home. Will lose games though for sure.
