Did he have bad series' against them?I don't think it's really a hole Tbf, only a handful of players ever had what can be called great series against that attack. But just worth a mention I suppose.

Didnt have a good time in 81. But then again everyone has a few bad series against great teamsDid he have bad series' against them?
Good luck if you think I am embarrassed. I was the first poster to bring hole in Greg Chappell's record last year . And I am vindicated by DOG's rating which doesn't put him in top 20 ATG batsman. He simply doesn't belong to top tier ATG batsman like Tendulkar, Lara, Smith or Hobbs.I don’t think you need to justify yourself in the face of such an appalling ad hominem attack from sunilz, stephen. The man plainly lashed out in embarrassment at being called out on his own oafish posting.
they're not just defensible. They range from clearly factual (eg. India only drew in Aus in 2003 because McGrath wasn't playing) to debatably true at worst.Even though Sunilz exaggerated some of my statements surely they're more defensible than "I don't rate Chappell because he never played against Marshall".
Shouldn't really be mentioning Warne with McGrath - they probably cancel each other out as far as playing against India is concerned.they're not just defensible. They range from clearly factual (eg. India only drew in Aus in 2003 because McGrath/Warne weren't playing) to debatably true at worst.
You weren’t the first poster at all to point to Chappell’s record. The joint has 30,000 plus members over nearly two decades and you reckon you were the first to bring it up? Fmd you’re right. I take it back. Plainly nothing embarrasses you.Good luck if you think I am embarrassed. I was the first poster to bring hole in Greg Chappell's record last year . Such a shame India managed to beat AUS in 2001 at home without Kumble and Srinath ( last 2 tests ) . May be AUS ATG team wasn't as good as many posters believe.they're not just defensible. Go easy on personal insults. Or you will get banned againYou weren’t the first poster at all to point to Chappell’s record. The joint has 30,000 plus members over nearly two decades and you reckon you were the first to bring it up? Fmd you’re right. I take it back. Plainly nothing embarrasses you.
You are free to not count any runs. But India managed to beat AUS in 2001 even with McGrath when India didn't have Kumble. That’s not a personal insult ffs. Grow up.
Presumably Tendulkar’s runs in the 98 series don’t count as McGrath didn’t play, same with anything scored by an Indian batsman out here in 03/04? I just want to make sure we have the sunilz logic right here. Is this the point you’ve been labouring this afternoon?
How is that relevant at all? That was in India. And India missing Kumble is hardly analogous to Australia without McGrath. You are free to not count any runs. But India managed to beat AUS in 2001 even with McGrath when India didn't have Kumble.
You know nothing about Kumble's record in India in 90s do youHow is that relevant at all? That was in India. And India missing Kumble is hardly analogous to Australia without McGrath.
I don’t recall saying he did. You’re being ridiculous here. Just acknowledge you made a stupid point by criticising a bloke’s record because he didn’t face a fella who wasn’t selected during his time playing. As I said, there’s heaps of reasons to talk down GC’s record but that ain’t one of them, surely? You are free to not count any runs. But Greg Chappell never scored any runs against Imran , Marshall, Qadir or Garner overseas at test level.
That is Greg Chappell's problem that he toured WI only once in his career. His career was of 14 years but he played only once in WI, PAK never played in IND. I think we have got a problem here.I don’t recall saying he did. You’re being ridiculous here. How do you not get that it's completely irrelevant? You know nothing about Kumble's record in India in 90s do you
Carry on with your ignorance.
