Yeah Joe Burns would have taken it to his right if Paine hasn't selfishly taken a blinder. It belonged to first slip tbh
Mediocre cricketer? He's got a higher test batting average than any other Aust keeper bar Gilchrist and Haddin. And he's a very good keeper. His tenure is a bit like Sammy’s. Nice guy, good leader, mediocre test cricketer brought in during a crisis.
STS not a bad shoutMarnus next captain imho
Finally, a truth teller haha and someone who has a feel for the wider gameAgree with Howard on the declaration. No one will remember this yet another test win over Pakistan (yawn) but a world record coupled with a win would have been etched in everyone's minds.
ok but . . . that's with the significant benefit of hindsightFinally, a truth teller haha and someone who has a feel for the wider game
And someone who acknowledges that winning and giving Warner an extra hour (of, as it turns out, the 7 hours that were not used) were not mutually exclusive
Really have become a bunch of dreary Conservatives on the CW discussion boards
No dare or imagination
How is it manufacturing some sort of crisis? Is there a need to always manufacture some sort crisis with Australian cricket? Things are going as smoothly as they can. I am sure the selectors etc. are working on the long term plan and succession plans for Paine but really, it just makes sense that he leads Australia through this WTC cycle at least.
Tangentially, how great is it now that we have a WTC and the test teams can also start planning captaincy and line up tactics with 2 year cycles marked down for them.
lol pointless and selfish glory huntingThere was also the possibility of rain. Besides that I wouldn't call pointless and selfish glory hunting either daring or imaginative.
Time for you to let this go now. Your endless cicada like droning of whinging and complaining isn't intelligent. Just brattish and annoying.lol pointless and selfish glory hunting
clearly you're intellectually bereft
