I understand the Aaron bouncer was quite traumatic for Broad, but jfc, it was 5 years ago, the guy is a millionaire and doesn't even play white ball cricket.

Good win. A few patches of poor play from us in the first two days, but great third day and then dominated. England the opposite, like us they spilled a couple of catches in the first innings, but then got worse and worse.
Two crucial periods - when England were 250 odd for 4 in the first innings and then gave away (with some decent bowling, but not amazing) wickets to only score 350... and secondly when they had an opening but couldn't get through CDG and Watling with the second new ball on day 3, and were never again competitive in the match after that.

i just love how to the tail he either bounces them or just throws it at the base of the stumps. no mucking around being clever, just brute force.

fmd we're pretty good at cricket aren't we. feels weird after growing up watching the vettori/bracewell era.
Great test from santner- however I saw enough to know he should not be in the squad to tour Australia. He isn't a test spinner and he is very average for a number 8 test batsman (despite this innings).

Thinking about it now- Wagner maybe a shout to be inclided in the best nz test xi ever.
Hadlee is offcourse opening- And I'd take Bond over Boult comfortably- and both would prefer the new ball- so Wagner is surely first change in that team.
