Sohail at 3 and Babar at 5 is absolute lunacy. Sohail is a tailender or worse when it bounces a bit. Should be batting at No. 5 at best. How dumb is it to repeat the mistake in the 2nd innings?

Didn't see it so am fascinated to see how Pakistan didn't lose a wicket in opening session of match.

All indicators this session is that on Oz pitches against this pace attack they're just not good enough.

Yeah, he's upped his game recently. Vihari etc. coming in and doing well have probably made him fear for his place a bit.

pujara's been going through a relatively lean patch though. still has a few 50s this year but no 100s since sydney.

Australia were a bit short but mostly the openers were very good in that first session, but yeah the extra bounce that all three quicks are getting is just too much for them.

Hope Shaan makes some runs tomorrow morning. He seems to have decent temperament.

Yasir is playing 4D chess. He knows he will be dropped next game and then Smith will never get the chance to play him again and he will forever be known as Yasir's bunny. Sharp lad, that one. :p
