One of my favorite Chanderpaul test innings. Devon Smith's 1st test. No McGrath. The test series where 418 was achieved in the 4th innings. Looking at Bourda brings back so many memories.
All tests in 27/28 and three tests in 30/31I was reading that all but 1 of Herbie Taylor's test tons were scored on matting, so I figured in the '20s they were still using them
In winter, after successfully fighting a land war in Asia.I think his brilliant mind would have been wasted on the cricket field tbh. Will probably end up conquering Russia one day.
Just watched the majority of this. What a dig. Came to the crease on a hat trick ball & battled it out in rather windy conditions. One of my favorite Chanderpaul test innings. Devon Smith's 1st test. Devon Smith and Lara were given out on bad decisions. Marlon Samuels played a lazy shot, as had Wavell Hinds. Only Daren Ganga got a good ball. It was so nice hearing the late great Tony Cozier on commentary.Just watched the majority of this. What a dig. Came to the crease on a hat trick ball & battled it out in rather windy conditions.

okRavindra Jadeja has been the best no.6 in the world over the course of last 2 years.Averages 61.6 at this position since Jan 2018. The next best averages 46 odd.
No, he doesn't. He actually averages 116 but it's a sample of 4 innings.Ravindra Jadeja has been the best no.6 in the world over the course of last 2 years.Averages 61.6 at this position since Jan 2018. The next best averages 46 odd.
Woah, so he's the best batsman in the world over the last two years? No, he doesn't. He actually averages 116 but it's a sample of 4 innings.
If you consider 4 innings and 232 runs to be a significant sample size then yes.Woah, so he's the best batsman in the world over the last two years?
Sorry, a typo there. It is no. 6 or below. Either way, he has been the best bottom half batsman during this 2 year window. No, he doesn't. He actually averages 116 but it's a sample of 4 innings.
Yeah, but he's the only one in the bottom half who's scored multiple triple centuries in FC. He doesn't fit the title of 'lower-order' batsman.Sorry, a typo there. It is no. 6 or below. Either way, he has been the best bottom half batsman during this 2 year window.
Finally a post crediting his triple centuries. So happy to see this.Yeah, but he's the only one in the bottom half who's scored multiple triple centuries in FC. He doesn't fit the title of 'lower-order' batsman.
