Would have to say Head has done enough to put himself in front of Harris, Pucovski, Maddinson and Handscomb for a test berth with his performance this match against a crack NSW outfit.

the big bambino

International Captain
He needed to perform and he did. Which kind of suits anyway. If the selectors really were looking at maddog in the middle order they might have to fit him in the side as an opener now.

SA doing the right thing here and crumbling like a Sao in a blender. Except for Cooper, of course.

Bryce Street bats time

If the Aus selectors snub the Queenslanders then Matty Renshaw might not have a spot to come back to

Cricketer Of The Year
Yeah, assuming only Marnus is the only one selected from QLD I can imagine them going with something like:

1. Burns
2. Renshaw/Street
3. Khawaja
4. Hemphrey
5. Street/Renshaw
6. Wildermuth
7. Pierson

In other Queensland news, Blake Edwards has been very impressive in the 2nds game. Wonder what chance he is of getting a call up to the main team.

Probably not much, but Gannon and his suspiciously bendy elbow shouldn't have ever been there

Bryce "I turned Sam Heazlett into a former QLD cricketer" Street is a god.

Anyone who watched, did Wildermuth look like a no.6 apart from getting out to Bancroft's filth? Traditionally if you haven't hit Wildermuth's stumps in his first 12 balls, something has gone wrong.

That could be awhile. You have Heazlett who has to unlearn a great many bad red ball habits, and a guy who bats like the crack-addicted lovechild of Aaron Finch and the 2015 WC edition of Brendon McCullum.
