Anyways, the challenge league is starting soon. Singapore have announced a significantly weaker squad to the one that got them here, with no Chetan and Surender. Some very inexperienced youngsters in there which is a bit concerning.

9/14 have learnt all their cricket in Singapore, with pretty much all of them having served NS which is probably the benchmark for being truly "Singaporean". Good progress.

Hi Green - if you follow the nations you are interested in on social media, most games played by the Associates that are shown will be streamed - some with basic one camera job (like the recent Continental Cup in Romania) or some with more elaborate set ups, such as the recent women's T20 World Cup qualifier on the ICC's Facebook & Youtube. At @EmergingCricket we try to share all the matches that are broadcast, too.

I won't say they're a sleeping giant, but it's still a good news story in Singapore that despite many challenges, including facilities, to succeed AND with such a good homegrown ratio.

They still cop it from many online when people see names with origins in south asia and scream "Expat" - similar to HK. (No prizes for guessing where a lot of this came from after the T20 Qualifiers!).

The First ODIs on American soil are this week (Florida)

“Team USA is excited about beginning its involvement in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 competition and to the hosting of official ODI matches in the United States for the first time ever,” said USA Cricket CEO Iain Higgins. “One-Day cricket is an important format of the sport and one in which Team USA has made great progress over the past few years. We are thrilled to be part of this series of highly competitive matches and the players are eagerly anticipating building on that recent progress and testing themselves in ODI competition with Namibia and PNG as all three teams embark on their first steps towards qualification for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.”

Team USA’s schedule is as follows with all games starting at 9:45am ET:

September 13 USA vs Papua New Guinea
September 17 USA vs Namibia
September 19 USA vs Papua New Guinea
September 20 USA vs Namibia
These matches will be the first ever official One Day International matches on American soil after the U.S. Men’s National Team gained ODI status at WCL2 in Namibia in April and are the first in a series of 36 ODIs that Team USA will play over the next 2.5 years as part of ICC Cricket World Cup League 2. Team USA traveled to Florida on September 7th and had a productive training session yesterday and will continue their training today and on Wednesday and Thursday and will play a practice match tomorrow.
