One thing that's made this series closer than it should've been is Australia's inability to clear the tail. England have been shite at downhill skiing too. Gave away winning positions in the first 2 tests.

IMO that had more to do with Stokes being on fire than anything else. I guess Lord's counts a bit but even that was mostly Woakes/Bairstow IIRC.
