Harmer is a quality offie, no doubt about that. All that I have heard is that he may make himself available for South Africa again longterm, but for the time being he is focused completely on playing for Essex
lol from a selfish point of view really hope he dosent want to play international cricket again!

So this thread is also for the T20 Blast?

I don't know who are favourites this year. But as always they usually pick someone from the Southern group who then fail miserably, lol.

Banton and Babar Azam is some opening partnership. Some of Banton's boundaries today are immense. Have a look at some. https://www.ecb.co.uk/t20-blast/match-centre#videos

Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a chance with England in the t20s this winter, although probably not given they will be building to the world t20s and they have loads of depth in that respect.

That sure was some hitting from Delport. Had it not been a reduced overs game Essex might have been on for the highest T20 Blast score and possibly even the T20 World record.

I wonder if it was just a fluke. Or could he be good enough to play for England in the T20 World Cup?

Tom Curran had figures 3-0-63-0. Someone liked his variety of slower balls. It was a 15 over game Essex 226/4

Benny Howell 4-0-18-5 Gloucs/Glam game

It seems much harder to buy success in cricket.
I thought Surrey basically bought EVERYONE so there was no one left to face them.

But I see they aren't doing so good so far.

Kind of ignores the number of players they've brought through the ranks over the last few years, but anyway. Off the top of my head, Burns, Roy, Pope, Curran S, Curran T, Virdi, Jacks, Smith. And Batty and Clarke were home grown before we lent them out for a while. I've probably forgotten one or two others.

But yes we are a bit **** this season.
