Massive wicket that. Taylor got stuck in a rut but shouldn't get all the blame, really. That was very good bowling to slow it down.

Oh dear! That was classic Root, tuk tuk tuk tuk then out as soon as he tried to hit out after using up half the game.

... because Guptill and Nicholls and Taylor refused too. Combined score 55 (118) = 2.8 rpo, in a World Cup semi final where we won the toss and batted.

No evidence for any of these IIRC.

Just bring a box of sugar pills or something.
There’s evidence that it’s effective, there’s just no evidence that it’s more effective than a placebo. But that’s because there’s no way of testing it against a placebo.

Sugar pills aren’t a very effective placebo. Maybe a placebo injection would work better but at that point you may as well just use real painkillers. And you may as well use a massage on top of that, especially if the athlete likes them. We don’t have much evidence that it doesn’t work either.

I'm not watching but is the pitch really the most difficult of the tournament so far?
no

Good spin bowling and some poor batting

Outfield is rapid too, when they've connected the ball has flown.

Only 10 boundaries in 37 overs. NZ haven't been up to it today, Williamson aside.
