BIt of genius there from Kane, and yeah India's fielding could be sharper.

Hope Nicholls kicks on now he has a start. Could be very important against both spinners with his ability to get those sweeps away,

between kane, vettori and grant elliott nz must have literal thousands of runs in that area just in world cups

Williamson always manages to get it down to third man. You fools, no gully can stop it.

Tbf, I would've taken 52/1 after 14 at the start of the day, though that's probably more of a sign of how ratshit our starts have been in the past few games than anything.

Irrespective of what he does from here in this match, Nicholls has completely won me round as a cricketer. I was very anti.

I'm sure he'll be stoked.
He isn't a flake and he's very determined, which counts for a lot. Also a defense that can look ugly but is deceptively effective.

Has had a touch of luck so far (plays and misses and could've been given lbw) but working it round nicely now. He's a man with a plan.

Ha, yeah. It'll be on one of those graphic things before the final.

Williamson 24 runs away from 2000 down to third man in World Cups.

I'll take 8 more overs of this from Jaddu

Pandya's 10 could be expensive but he's found ways to pick up wickets and not go for too many this WC so far, so he might deliver year again.

Chahal is going to be the main wicket-taking threat in the middle overs, yet to bowl. Bhuvi probs going to get a big spell at the death. Bumrah might come on again if we need a wicket.

India's fielding has been a bit off so far. Atleast 2 misfields and now an overthrow.
Some day, India will regret not having a 6th bowling option. One injury, or just one shocker of a day, away from disaster?

India are really really good, but it feels like they don’t have a lot of back up if things go wrong.

Obviously with the 5 bowlers AND THAT’S IT. If you can get after 2 of them, then what? They just bowl 20 overs for 160?

And the top 3 is great. But what if they fail? What if they’re 30/3? Something NZ fans can sympathise with, but they’ve got CDG and Neesh as we showed against Pakistan.

Hopefully NZ have thought of exposing those week areas.

yea that happened to us in this WC itself when Bhuvi got injured, but luckily we had Vijay Shankar to the save the day.

I assume if that happens to us again this WC (today or potentially the final) then Kohli's just going to rock up and bowl a few overs.
