Some interesting selections. Chahal keeps his spot, Kuldeep makes way for Bhuvi, and Kedar gets the axe for Karthik

Meanwhile Miraz has been dropped for Rubel, for some reason, and Mahmadullah has been dropped for Sabbir as well.

India option to bat first after. BD wanted to bat first too.
Thanks Jatin Sapru

Of course India would win the toss in this match. Masrafe never wins the toss when he needs to and makes absolutely horrendous decisions even when he does win them (Choosing to bowl against England 8-)) Match over already. Genius captain cool also decided to drop Mehdy too. Also hate the decision to play Soumya in the middle order and open with Liton. Soumya cannot play spin early in the innings and struggles to rotate the strike. He is best used in scoring quickly against the pacers up front.

Can't wait for Mustafizur to not bowl until the 15th over and fail to bowl out a full ten overs again for the umpteenth time.

Bigger news is Mahmudullah has not passed a fitness test on his calf tear. Sabbir Rahman replaces him.

yea that explains it. Wonder why Miraz was dropped tho. I mean, even with the shorter boundary - is Rubel a significantly better option? Miraz can bat too and has saved lots of runs in the field.

Just typical Bangladesh panic. I was really excited for them in this game but now they feel like Sri Lanka with their unforgivable knee jerk so at best I don't care and at worst want them to lose. Sad times. :(

Seriously! I also agree with Tec's point regarding Soumya-vs-Liton. Soumya was doing better than Tamim opening. Liton played a fantastic knock at no. 5. Then they just swap them in the batting order. I can't call all these things as brain-farts when these are the kind of decisions that happen after long team management meetings.

Yeah I mentioned this in the last game too. Absolutely stupid.

rooting now for Rubel to take a five-fer, including Kohli first ball, just to silence all you haterz and disbelievers

It won't silence me, it'll just make me post more about how angry at am. Dumb decisions paying off because of single game variance and then dumb selectors pretending they're Nostradamus is actually so much worse than them backfiring and those ****s getting sacked, and I'll be ranting about it if it happens.

I actually hate Rubel a little less in ODIs than most people but still, Mehidy should've been one of the first players picked. The selectors are trying to have a bigger impact on the outcome than they really can -- too clever by half as Howe indicated.

Shabbir playing is fine. He's a bit of a **** **** but Mahmudullah is injured so it's the best possible replacement, certainly within the squad and probably outside it too.
