18 runs in five overs. This is why we need England: they would have raced away to 52/4 by now.

Pretty good from Mr Darcy so far. Bowling a few up around 140 and will give him benefit of the doubt that the slower ones are looking for swing - a surprising amount of that around for him.

Unlucky not to have that edge go to hand.

South Africa pretty clearly taking the strategy of looking to survive Henry's first spell unscathed and look to cash in later on. Will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Good start from NZ, though SA starting to get a few away. Boult needs to switch to a plan B, not swinging at all.

Bit of an anomaly but Boult has the worst average of any of our bowlers this world cup so far by miles. Has bowled nicely today apart from that last over.

Disagree with McCullum - Henry should just keep doing what he's doing and see if SA get frustrated and edge one. There'es playing someone out and then there's letting them bowl maiden after maiden - can't be satisfied with that in an ODI.

McCullum would give Henry an over or 2 more, will KW do the same?

Agreed. This is really lovely bowling from Henry. Let him bowl 8+ overs like this and wait and see how much patience the Saffers have.

That strategy would possibly have worked against Markram, but suspect it will be not sensible against Amla and Faf. SA cannot afford early wickets, and those two know that.

even if they did wait him out, we'll take 10 overs for **** all on what looks a good batting deck once conditions become kinder

These two look pretty determined. Ferguson's spell quite important now, wonder if he'll test Amla out on the odd short ball.
