If he didn’t try to mix things up by bowling short he’d have had solid figures. Suppose that’s why he’s a part timer.

Zampa a big disappointment today. Finch having to get more overs out of the part timers because he was so bad cost Australia plenty.
Reminder that Maxwell finished with a better economy than Starc #FingerSpinMasterRace

Bit weird to say this, but KL Rahul's performance is the best thing to come out of this innings for India.
Um all he did was hit one full toss for 6 and a boundary to finish. Hardly a performance. Dhoni's and Pandya's innings were crucial. Especially Pandya.

Yes Dhawan's a gun in the ICC events. The anti-Amla.

First WC spanking for Starc. Good stuff all around. :)

Yeah, but Pandya is assumed to be awesome (by me). Dhoni was good but still less important than having an in-form #4 imo (just).

Australia pretty much always does well against us in ODIs, so I'm guessing they'll get to 300 at the very least.

Aus is also playing at its least favourite venue sans the dead rubber win in 2015
I’d have thought that would be Edgbaston by virtue of the fact it’s in the **** hole that is Birmingham. England’s Chennai.

Always maintained that Rayudu wasn't cut out for big ticket events. Pant instead of Jadhav IMO and it would be an even more destructive line up.
My preference was Dhoni at 4 followed by Jadhav, Pant and Pandya. Dhoni the best option for that #4 position that India has been trying to fill for last 5-6 years.

350 is the new 300, with Australia's firepower we'll need early wickets.
