Seriously though, I feel like this was just following on from whatever plan the coaches had. the fact of the matter is that post the 2015 to the start of this year (ie mostly under Lehmman's reign), we used less spin than any major ODI country. Zampa had a great start, but that was in West Indies and Sri Lanka, and once they got out of there he was horses for courses and I don't think that was all down to Smith
