To think England though that batting first on the ground and pitch where they broke the world record score while batting first last year and putting the match potentially beyond a team not known for their toughness in pressure situations was not the right approach.

They may still win but the thinking was completely arse-backwards.

Poor performance by England , I know they give up bonus runs easily but today was especially bad. Even if we end up winning this game, we aint playing like the World Cup winners.

Wood and Ali -for all the derision- have emerged as England's best bowler's today. 5/103 in 20 between them.

Second 330+ score in as many days. This is going to be a ridiculously high scoring WC.

England could chase this, but I wouldn't back them to do it. But if any team were to do it, it would be them.

Archer has sent down a welter of friendly half volleys and log hops and looked yards slower than he speed gun reading today.

Make the last over big and get to 350. And then break the England opening partnership within the first 4 overs.
