Australian Domestic Season 2018/19

the big bambino

Cricketer Of The Year
40 (for Qld). 3 tons in late Feb and March. Too late for the ashes and for SA. He's missed out badly when there have been places available.

Yeah Renshaw smashed the second half of the season and then dominated county until he got injured. Then he got concussion in the warm up game for the UAE tour, was not selected because he needed game time and then has had a horror season at first class level while smashing everything at grade level.

It's a case of the second year blues a bit and he's shown signs at times, he's just kept finding ways of getting out.

Still, he's certainly got to be considered in the long term plans for Australia but right now he's behind Warner, Burns, Harris and possibly Hughes in the pecking order.

And Bancroft really has to be talked about as a genuine possibility for the test side. He's not set a foot wrong these two games.

It's funny looking at the scorecard and seeing Jack Edwards score some decent starts in both innings. Actually looked like a number 10 in the big bash

aussie tragic

International Captain
So Wade has made 77 and 86 in the 2 innings he's batted 4 since Hohns said he needed to bat higher. I'm sure he'll now say he doesnt convert enough even though his competition just got a pair (labuschagne)

Wade definitely deserves to be our #1 ODI keeper and should probably go as reserve bat/keeper on the Ashes tour if this form continues.

Whether he will or not remains to be seen.

Young Will Pucovski with another hundred. Good signs from him. Hope he hasn't had mental issues this time.
