Don't think he's a weird selection. Bit of a gun at first-class level, and he had success in the couple of internationals he played.
I meant with questions being asked why him over Bennett who's in great form. No doubt Kuggs deserves it.

Legite think Kuggs looks a better test allrounder prospect than Santner/Neesham maybe even Corey Anderson.

There is such a tradition of hacky sloggers briefly looking unstoppable in NZ. Perera is giving me nightmares of Razzaq becoming Bradman here.

Sri Lanka really should win from here, wouldn't want a team to go back completely winless. NZ's T20 performances are a mess right now, but always great to get new options like Kuggs into the mix.
