*Official* Pakistan v New Zealand in the UAE 2018

Anything over 125 would be tricky on this wicket in the last innings. Basically pakistan need to restrict NZ to under 200.
125 wouldn't be hard against this New Zealand spin attack. To make a match of this, the Kiwis need something in excess of 250 in their second outing.

NZ should sends specialist opener like Guppy or Young because Latham hits two century during last tour bats at middle order
No, he was opening when he hit those tons.

He's batted 71 innings in Test cricket and opened in 69 of them. Not only that but he's been one of the most successful NZ openers in Test history.

This weird thing you've got going on when you pretend he's batting out of position or it's somehow strange that he's opening makes no sense. Maybe you've watched too many ODIs.

God ****ing dammit. School is trying to kill me right when there's so much quality cricket on. Songs
Sounds like an exceptional day of cricket. On to the highlights.

The Azhar-Shafiq partnership was very important needless to say. Both of them played some very aesthetically pleasing shots. The lollapse came soon after but hey could've been much worse. Don't want anything over 120. A 100 run lead would've been nice

i am having a bad feeling about this test. It is reminding me of the first test of this series.

Pakistan are going to **** all over themselves in the 4th innings once again.

Ajaz and Colin looked helpless. Colin looked unthreatening and Ajaz kept going to swept. Poor Southee though. Looks to have created plenty of chances.

Wtf Somerville.

I am hopeful for the bowlers but I don't expect much from the batsmen. They almost **** themselves chasing against Ireland ffs.

watching the highlights and southee's bowling utterly non existent. I've said it multiple times but he needs an extended dropping not because he shouldn't be in the side, but because he plays waaay better when he's had to earn his way back into the side.

Which one of you was drunk while watching?

He had a couple of dropped catches. Was generally better than the first innings. Can be unfortunate whilst still being crap.

Argh, those two late wickets...sounds like Raval coped some bad luck. Latham...yulch.

If we're to stand a chance in this one we'll need a target of 200+, this pitch isn't going like the first test. I don't see us doing that after losing both openers for zip. The only way I see us winning really is if Kane finally makes good on a start and posts 150. That tame dismissal of his in the first innings is now looking so damn crucial.

when i was watching southee was doing that thing he does where it looks like good bowling but it's loopy and along the wicket rather than late swing and into the deck. the batsmen were able to see his deliveries early.

Was expecting to wake up to like Pakistan having scored 500 runs or something. Disappointing our openers got out cheap - especially Raval who seemed like he was getting going in the last innings, and that this could be his overseas breakthrough.

I'm hoping someone tons up in this innings. Considering we did better in our 2nd innings in the first Test, if we can replicate that and set a 250 target for Pakistan on day 5, we could be in.

Not Terrible
We still have a chance lads. Big Daddy Kane just needs some Big Daddy Runs.

Taylor/Nicholls/Watling could also do things.

Yeah, recipe for a win is basically KW batting through, Taylor smearing his way to a 50, and one of Nicholls and Watling grinding out another ugly 50. A couple of lol 20's from Colin and Southee would be nice, but I don't think you can stake too much on that happening.
