I reckon the first of those two shouts from Ajaz was really close. Would've loved a spare review to have a look at that.

Looking at the hawkeye replay on cricinfo, it would've been umpire's call even if it was hitting in line, so no big loss. Still, encouraging signs from Patel.

It doesn't make sense to pick Ish and not bowl him till nearly tea. I can understand he wasn't all that great lady test match but then why pick him if they have no confidence? What do you reckon Ish's confidence levels would be?

nice to arrive home to more colin wickets. really is a monstrous 5th bowler and every commentator gets aggravated in the bum over his pace

first over i've seen and boy this is a batsmans deck. if anyone dismisses a team for under 350 on this then that's a cracker performance.

please tell me that wasn't a drop

Blargh, catching has been dire today. Another lands between Beej and Ross. Dropping three chances in such batting friendly conditions is terribad.

well it doesn't look too bad out there for staying in so if the deck deteriorates then whoever racks up five hundy is going to win

Definitely way more turn than on day 1 at Abu Dhabi. Sodhi is getting some to go miles, a competent leggy will have a field day on this.

yeah now that i've seen a bit more it's absolutely imperative we make yasir and bilal take all 10 of our wickets, because they will, but we don't want soft drives from the likes of latham to hasan ali or abbass

the commentators don't get it. pakistan batting slowly is fine. this is their chance to bat 2.5 days for 600 and hopefully send at least one nz bowler out of the series injured. this is their chance to break the new zealand bowling attack for the rest of the series.

these knobs in commentary would be 150/5 right now.

Yeah agreed, NZ have bowled about as well as they could and nothing to show for it. Pakistan can now grind it out, bat once and bat big. Though you'd hope Sodhi would be able to exploit favourable conditions better.

Ish bowling reaaaaaally slow, in the high 70's almost every ball. The batsmen have more than enough time to adjust to the apin, he really needs to be bowling 5-10 k's quicker.
