This over just killed our chances stone dead. WTF were they thinking not sending Starc in? Our brains trust is dumber than a man with Alzheimer's.

Nah come on, at least Cummins bombs a few sixes in T20s. Starc's no good at that. Hardly a dumb decision.

It's the little things that snowballed. Carey dropping a straightforward catch being the biggest, but poor bowling, Finch's dismissal, the other drops, Head in general, sending in Cummins. Each just pushed further away out chances.

Might I add strike working the ball and rotating the strike.

I mean you're right but the situation when going into the last 10 overs was pretty similar. Australia just lost the plot for about four overs and South Africa's death bowling was largely excellent.

Picking Cummins over Starc was not the right call. Obviously Starc might've been bowled first ball but if he came off you'd get a quick 20-odd rather than Cummins doddering around for an over.

To me a choke is losing a game from a match-winning position through pressure. I don't think Australia were ever really in a match-winning position.
