I wonder if the Bangers will play enough tests for him to play 100 and settle for all time the discussion about who's the worst player to play 100 tests.

There's actually an Afghani kebab joint near where I live that do some rather good kebabs. Slightly different to the traditional style of kebab though.

So I'm nibbling on some classic Asian Desserts at work today - namely Baklava. Fresh from the UAE.

So good.
The origin of Baklava is still very much contested between the Greeks and their dessert-ruining neighbours from the Bosporus. As it tastes so good, you would expect it to be of European origin.

***** hasn't replied to this so it's fair to assume he accepts it as fact.

Actually my lunch was so enjoyable I chose to focus on that rather than this thread. You wouldn't understand that.

Also I spent 9 minutes 20 seconds watching Shahid Afridi hit sixes. Time well spent.

Baklava is also Turkish in origin, and given the EU won't accept them as one of their own (on account of France being unwilling to lose their title of 'best cuisine in Europe', something they've been holding on to purely on past glories than anything they've achieved lately), this dish remains Asian.

It's understandable that the Greek wish to own it though - they've actually got good taste in food, and not much else going for them at the moment. If they're able to loosely trace some connection to this dish then fair play to them for attempting to claim it. It's kinda like Australians trying to pretend they're a real country, and not just a prison experiment go wrong. It's cute, but it's not historically accurate.

Also, let it be known I do not wish to interact with The Burgey Team, and if Burgey wishes to engage me in any further discussion on the topics of food, cricket, or Australian history he should do so directly himself. I won't be replying to posts unless they carry his signature on them.

I have better things to do than talk to interns (and Burgey, for that matter).

I'm afraid you're not worthy of direct interaction with the boss. You'll have to make do with the interns, who will be more than a match.

We can also put together powerpoint shows for our higher ups.

Nice, looks like the old man may have actually read my post. Thanks TBT.

Admittedly, when I first heard about TBT I kinda felt like Lionel Hutz here.
