I'm still a fairly casual and uneducated cricket fan, but I always get the impression that commentators exaggerate the fourth innings lead teams need to set. P sure I've heard commentators casually say the team would want to set X score to push on to win and X score would be in the top ten or so fourth innings test run chases of all time. Happy to be corrected tho.

I reckon anything above 200 would be hard here. England are 99/6 effectively. Won't put it past Butler to smack an annoying 50 and get tons of support from Rashid and Curran.

With all due respect to first innings form, get Umesh in for a few overs. Don't destroy your bowler's confidence. It's a long series.

This is an interesting topic. Had we bowled Umesh for a few overs and he bowled a few bad overs, could have let the pressure off. I think Kohli did the right thing. Ishant was getting some thing and was rewarded in the end. This is also why Kohli is a terrific captian, always attacking wants to win.
