Shakib WAG. Match winning 4th innings ton incoming.
One might call him a hopeless case.Oh, dear! This Shai Hope continues to disappoint.
I was just going to make that post lolBangladesh are improving; look at this steady upward trend in their team totals: 43, 144, 149, 168.
I disagree. Like I've stated before, Bangladesh are really just poor away. Pretty much like all current teams. They'd probably smoke this wi team at home and beat or draw most other sides not named India.I was just going to make that post lol
Tbf the last 3 innings show they're well in out of their depth here. If not technically, then mentally they were just not willing or able to adapt or grind it out.
Yeah but I'm afraid for our batting tbh. That's y teams like India, Australia, and RSA will still be heavy favorites to win in the wi. Our bowlers can probably contain the above teams but our batting will be decimated.Being good at home is the first step for any team during a rebuilding phase. I think the West Indies are moving in the right direction.
With Al Jo, Keemo Paul, Chemar Holder, Keon Joseph, Oshane Thomas, Odean Smith etc our pace bowling stocks are in good hands even if we get a few injuriesYeah but I'm afraid for our batting tbh. Currently touring England with the A team. He has done ok with the ball without being spectacular and has had a very lean run with the bat. THis is the first lean run he's really had in his career so far and at just the wrong time. I hope he has a strong end to the tour and gets a chance to tour Asia later this year.i love this for the west indies!! i really do think the team culture is so much better now than it was four ish years go
whatever happened to rakheem cornwall?
Another thought on the batting. They really need to get the balance right between plodders and strokemakers. Historically we didn't have enough plodders and so recently they filled the team with players who bat time with low strike rates. That will only work if we have some quality strokemakers mixed in amongst them. This batting line up gets stuck, goes nowhere and gets so much pressure put on it. They need to cut the BS and invest in Hetmeyer now. He must play every test. We also need an attacking opener to partner Kraigg, who obviously scores at snails pace. Devon isn't the answer.Yeah but I'm afraid for our batting tbh. That's y teams like India, Australia, and RSA will still be heavy favorites to win in the wi. What makes Hetmeyer so special so as to be invested in?Another thought on the batting. They really need to get the balance right between plodders and strokemakers. The A team has Chanderpaul Hemraj who looks great for 20/30 runs before getting out so he's not ready yet. We really are struggling for options. I really hope over the next FC season someone puts their hand up.
He's a brilliant young strokemaker, Under 19 World Cup winning captain. Scored runs at each level. Most recently he has scored a century in basically every warm up match whether it was in England, Australia, NZ or the Caribbean. He's an exceptional talent and must not sit whilst the likes of Devon Smith play. What makes Hetmeyer so special so as to be invested in?
