He's played a lot and has a really bad record, not good enough for international cricket I'm afraid.

66 tests 24 ave
177 ODIs 22 ave (70 SR)
23 t20Is 19 ave (126 SR)

His batting isn't really even good enough for a bowling all-rounder.

Okay let's set the record straight here:

  • Western cultures have no legitimate claim to dessert superiority, and to even suggest that is sheer ignorance

  • So, were the things you detailed exactly the same and used in exactly the same way in European and non-European food? Were versions everywhere exactly the same? What ones are eaten, or at least, recognised most widely now?

Incidentally, for a person who was chiding Burgey in another thread for displaying lack of appreciation of other cultures or some something like that, you're not too different yourself.

Do you, *****, really want to be like him?

Asia does crap desserts.

Japanese mochi is pretty legit tho.

Most Indian desserts are wayyyyy too sweet.

I'll give you Mysore Pak for sure. Payasam can be all right, but the rest is just meh.

I like most Indian sweets actually.

Suffer from lack of layers and complexity though, must be said.

Don't get me wrong. I think western desserts are fantastic. I think Asian desserts are fantastic. I think Burgeys posting is not fantastic.

Attempting to argue that any one culture's food is superior to any others is nonsense. Its just that in Asia we do all food better. Because Asian cultures love and respect food more than any other. But every culture has great cuisine.

Apart from Australians. And Burgey sucks.

Lack of layers has more to do with cooking methods tbh
You can make traditional Indian desserts really fantastically, but if you buy them from the mithaiwala on the streets they're bound to be simplified

I'm no expert but Asian deserts just suck compared with the rest of their food. You guys have some great food but desserts is not your strength.

edit: clearly meant desserts not deserts but now that I think about it your deserts suck too. They don't have cool giant rocks like ours.

That doesn't make much sense tbh. They are what they are. Even the best stores in India sell them that way.

What they could be is beside the point.
