I think Iike these two looks for full strength for Australia and England. I don't think anyone has slipped my mind. Not including Smith and Warner for now, since they are banned for a while. Don't know much about Australia's options for captain after Paine. I think Finch is the vice, but the vice captain isn't always next in line for captaincy. England have an insane amount of batting in their full strength team.

1. Finch
2. Head
3. Stoinis
4. Shaun Marsh
5. Maxwell
6. M.Marsh
7. Carey (wk)
8. Agar
9. Starc
10. Cummins
11. Hazlewood

England (batting line up some flexibility)

1. Roy
2. Bairstow
3. Hales
4. Root
5. Buttler (wk)
6. Morgan (c)
7. Stokes
8. Ali
9. Woakes
10. Rashid
11. Plunkett

another option

1. Roy
2. Bairstow
3. Hales
4. Morgan (c)
5. Stokes
6. Buttler (wk)
7. Ali
8. Woakes
9. Willey
10. Rashid
11. Plunkett

This England team is very hard to beat. The less Root bowls the better, his off-spin... basically pies asking to be hit..but he's an option if needed due to an injury..or he's dropped as the batting line up is so stacked (bats to 11) and then England have 6 proper bowling options and bat to 11.

Had too much bowling in Australia, had to drop Lyon. Depends on the surface, conditions and team they are playing. Lyon can come in for one of the seamers depending on the surface.

I think they'll probably put Stokes back in six, and I'm unconvinced that bringing Stokes back in there makes the team any stronger than it is now.

Thank **** you're not an Australian selector. Or was the purpose to pick an Australian team that you'd like to play against?

Slight adjustment was needed as I put in too many bowlers. I only did their team quickly, they did lose 5-0 after all so anything was looking like an improvement . Looks like nice balance now.

By the way , I'm not picking Smith and Warner. They are banned. They don't count.

This is a bit like SA's run up to the 99 tourney but with better batting and worse bowling. Buttler/Stokes as Klusener in the semi narrative to be a thing.

It's called "assessing the pitch properly". Yes in the earlier games they should have accelerated sooner but in this game they did not assess the pitch correctly and see that pushing for 400 was going to end in disaster.

But I'm more annoyed because our guys got out stupidly. Two run outs and a leave on middle is asking for trouble. Lyons wicket showed that the pitch had a bit in it and 300 would probably be enough. Why didn't the Aussies look at the pitch and figure that out?

And even if they didn't an extra 30 runs would have given us the game. Getting all out after 35 overs is completely rubbish. And it's the batting side's fault.

England haven't been throwing their wickets away, they've been hitting through the line but they haven't been running themselves out or getting themselves out to dinky shots. They've gone hard at the ball against the quicks and milked the spinners. It's not rocket surgery.
Confidence. The team lack it whereas England don't. The best players in the England time know if they don't come off there are guys below them who can do the business so they can just play their game ball-by-ball. Guys in the Aussie camp don't have that. The selectors ****ing about with parts of the batting order that are working ain't helping either. It's an entirely different mentality to walk out to bat with.

Just saw highlights. Geez that was so good, needed 89 off 110 or smth with just 2 wickets in hand and he knocked them off cool as you like. Great stuff from Adil too

With five runs to get, he took a single off the first ball of the 48th over by Richardson to expose Ball (:naughty:).

We could easily be talking about how he blew it after getting so close.

People, even Buttler, do silly things when the situation is tense.

Oh! Miyagi, where are you? I miss you so, after this Buttler masterclass.
And some foolish moderator has gone and banned Cow; In this hour of joy, I could do without a fly in the ointment.
