Can Ashwin beat Murali's 800?

Shri

Mr. Glass
Oh shut up. THere are like a million spinners in India so why didn't anyone else do anything similar even at the Ranji level? If there were contenders around, he would have been replaced. Pragyan Ojha was **** even when he vowled with him. Bow down.

So what you guys are saying is that India don't have any really good spinners and Ashwin is just the best of an ordinary bunch taking advantage of dream conditions that guarantee wickets?

Because the pitches at the Ranji level are very, very different?

Elgar took a 5-fer ffs.

Imran Tahir managed to average 21 in India with the ball

Jadeja's doing better than Ashwin at times

Lyon did well in the subcontinent for the first time in his life

O'Keefe won Australia a Test match

Even Jayant Yadav managed to jag a few

Forget about overseas, just have a look at how Ashwin does when the pitches aren't spin friendly in India. Delhi v SL, Ranchi v Aus off the top of my head.

I'm not saying he's not good, but the numbers flatter him to a ridiculous extent.

Oh btw in matches that Ojha and Ashwin have played together (13), Ojha has 71 @ 24 and Ashwin has 77 @ 26.

I just love what he stands for. It shows that a regular skinny-fat lazy-eyed kind of weird-looking bloke can be a professional athlete. You can achieve anything!

I've been saying that for 40 years. Good to see everyone is finally coming around to the correct POV.

There are plenty of games where the pitch only provided conventional turn rather than square turn. Ashwin did well in those when he didn't have technical issues with his bowling and drifted the ball with flight like a champ.

Wtf is skinny-fat
Skinny to the eye, but having a high body fat %

So basically the only reason you're skinny is due to a lack of any muscle.

'Proper' fat people will, at the very least, have some degree of muscle in their legs and back from having to support all that weight. Skinny fat guys don't even have that.

Yes which is which is why I think he's a good bowler. But he benefits a buttload from the factors I mentioned earlier. Jadeja as well.

He's extremely lucky to be given those factors.

I don't think Ashwin is a sub-par bowler (skill wise) who benefits from good conditions

I think he's an extremely skillful bowler who has lost the art of setting batsmen up on account of benefiting from good conditions for so long

Jadeja is an example of a bowler whose skillset thrives due to the conditions he plays in. Ashwin has all the skills necessary, just for some reason doesn't put them together. Which is more infuriating tbh

Basically a person who is not overweight and has a skinny look but still has a high fat percentage and low muscular mass.

You know it when you see them

TIL I am attracted to skinny fat girls.
Skinny-fat girls are just normal girls
You guys are talking about Michael Cera, aren't you?

No, he's just skinny

We're talking Ravi Ashwin. He's the perfect skinny-fat example.

The thing is, 10-20 years from now, nobody will be talking about Ashwin. He won't be remembered as anything more than just another bowler.
