it's his reward for winning many games for them. It's insulting how they treat considering he has the best T20 record. Essentially the bar for success is higher for him, apparently if he doesn't win the tournament after scoring 500 plus runs in the season he isn't worth it. Look at sewag with the right mentality that if he wins two or three games that's all he needs from him. RBC were just arrogant pricks to be honest. He's gone and they're still struggling. What they seem incapable of realizing is that cricket is not a one man show - Gayle, Lara, FLower etc can't win every game for you. Gotta look at the other players and build those weak links instead of removing the best player because he doesn't win you a trophy as if it's a waste of time to have Gayle in the team. WI has two T20 titles because of samuels performing for one game (the finals lmao) in those victorious tournaments. It's just amazing how human think at times, amazing to think about.

He's a beast. Best fielder amongst any bowler I've ever seen (Jordan and Southee come close) and one of the best ever period.

Its been explained previously in the thread, he hasn't done much in the IPL for ages. I'd have kept him, but ultimately the batting has not let them down before rather than the bowling.
