CdG is getting some movement. I wouldn't judge the deck just yet, nz did take their new ball just before lunch. Day 5 morning session looms ominously for NZ.Woo, this is going to be a draw, isn't it?
The pitch, after standing up and barking during the first two mornings has now decided that it will curl up in a corner and sleep through the entire day.
Although England didn't really dominate this morning with a new ball against our tail.CdG is getting some movement. I wouldn't judge the deck just yet, nz did take their new ball just before lunch. Day 5 morning session looms ominously for NZ.
To be fair aside from Wagner the rest of the bowlers are absolute bobbins.Has there been a series more dominated by the opening bowlers before? 8 guys have bowled in this series and taken no wickets for close to 500 runs.
He's fit now; he played the England A series against the West Indies and he was basically meh (to be fair, the quicks didn't get much of a workout because the pitches ragged square). I think he's (probably rightly) thought more of as a home conditions bowler.so toby roland-jones is injured or something right? will he slot straight back in? i don't know too much about him since i missed the west indies series
nah this is the real game here against root and his middle order mates and the guys who were struggling have contributed 170 odd bonus runs. NZ would have been hoping to keep the top three down where they wanted them. He'll never get a better chance, shocking not to go on and convert there. Another wicket here and NZ can really put us under pressure. All that talk of declaring is premature.
Mmm, I was just wondering if defensively-minded Williamson is thinking: I'm not too bothered if we don't take wickets, here. It's that time, declaration talk.
Reckon England could do themselves a favour by getting themselves bowled out for a 330ish lead, with a full five sessions to play.
i can. did you not see that ripper from anderson this morning? unplayable.NZ have done well to dry up the scoring last few hours though, we are in a great position but I can't see us taking 10 more wickets on this surface.
