Ya, but pitch and outfield normally dictate this if you are working the ball. Looks like the least grass on both to me the entire series. I think every other innings both teams have got the ball to reverse by about 50 overs or less.

There's some sort of theoretical upper limit on SA's first innings score, surely. It's bizarre that they can't kick on and pile up 450+ no matter how well they start.

With the exception of Cummins, whom I think is a level above the other Australian bowlers, Oz didn’t move the ball much in either 2nd or 3rd tests

Probably down to the ball as Kookas are rubbish and quality varies a lot
