Even with the wicket, Oz not looking like putting SA under any consistent sort of pressure like you would expect in the first hour / hour and a half of a test. We've just been allowed to comfortably accumulate...

No surprise as it’s hardly a secret that most don’t want to be there

Aussies gonna need to find some reverse swing next session to try and open up our fragile middle order...

That will be the interesting thing. Will there be reverse after all the rain in build up to this test ?

Supposedly could be rain during it too.

He is debuting today right
Yes, but if you've watched him in the shield you'll know that's his normal pace (CA usually puts up good highlights if you're interested). Annoyingly his form seemed to desert him a bit this year, averaging 32. He was really good for several seasons before. Similar MO to Philander, move it a bit both ways at a modest pace, but a bit more straight seam vs Philanders slightly scrambled release that seems to let him move the ball a bit more, so less movement generally.

Nah. There were sides in the WSC era with Graeme Wood, Rick Darling, Graeme Beard et al. Some in the mid 80s had Gilbert, Wood, Welham, C Matthews, Hilditch in them too.
