that's actually a reasonable schedule by nz standards if that's october 18 - march 19. we're used to worse. No, although the FTP was made in 2014 so the numbers are guaranteed to change at least.
Even with the CWC taking place not long after, NZ having 8 tests, 11 ODIs and only 5 t20s during the 18/19 summer seems like the real joke.
Boult is well respected here..just Burgey trolls him because of StarcIf that spell doesn't raise Boult & Southee's stock around here then nothing will
Mmh I know, but it feels like David White will make some amendments in due course.that's actually a reasonable schedule by nz standards if that's october 18 - march 19. we're used to worse.
He must be jealous right about now ;-) Gonna be pretty hard for anyone to troll big Trent for a while.Boult is well respected here..just Burgey trolls him because of Starc
You're (partially) right, they got to safety in both the first and third tests of that series after posting 150-200 scores in their first innings. I brought up Mohali 1999 because then too NZ rolled over a big side on day one for a double figure score, but couldn't bat them out of the game:Pretty sure England batted out in the second innings to save a test match in the 2013 series too..although they scored way more than 58. Probably around 170.
This year? India touring Australia this summer mate. Are there still whispers we may get the Boxing Day test in Australia?
I think the 2013 side was a lot stronger.. It was in many ways the same side from a few years ago when they won the away Ashes and beat India 4-0 to become number 1. The only difference was that some of the players were a bit past their prime. You're (partially) right, they got to safety in both the first and third tests of that series after posting 150-200 scores in their first innings. England are quite capable of clawing back of course, not writing them off.
2019. Just sounds like NZC has reservations about losing revenue from hosting our own games in that period. But I hope it happens. This year? India touring Australia this summer mate.
The odd thing is a loss in a 2 test series seems forgettable more than if it was a proper series like 3 tests.Genuinely, though, even though he signed that two-year contract or whatever, is this the kind of disaster we need to get rid of Bayliss at test coach and generally change our approach to test cricket as is long overdue? I'm actually ok with the occasional horror show we have in ODIs since I think it's a price worth paying for how much better we've become in that format, but this is just unacceptable.
Not to take away from the bowling which from the little snippets I've seen was excellent, but I don't think it was a 58-all-out bowling performance (I'd be tempted to say there's almost no such thing) but basically we've taken our somewhat prevalent theme of the past few years of generally not knowing what to do in the face of testing conditions/situations to an embarrassing new low. If nothing else we need to learn from this.
I'm not sure if this has changed now but as per the old FTP, Pakistan and West Indies are touring Australia for Summer 2019 (6 tests)2019. Just sounds like NZC has reservations about losing revenue from hosting our own games in that period. But I hope it happens.
India are supposed to play 5 ODIs in New Zealand after their Australia tour in Feb 2019 but no Tests on the pipeline for nowWhen's India touring next? Shouldn't there be a tour in the next year or so? It's been around 5 years since the last one.
Broke down early in three of those as well.Steyn's only played 9 tests in 3 years. :'(
We've seen stranger things in cricket / nothing as volatile as a cricket match / cricket is a funny game. All true.England are quite capable of clawing back of course, not writing them off.
