***Official*** Australia in South Africa 2018

Time to get Big Vern on.

Anyway, if a team gets this many runs for the tenth wicket, it can't be that bad to bat on :) .

Certainly looks better than it did when we were 8 for under 200. Top 10th wicket partnership that, and the Lyon/Paine partnership helped a lot too.

Cummins might be made for this deck.

Will take 243 all out.
Agreed. Even though Australia put on more runs than they should have at the end there, that's a good fightback given that the score was 98/0 at one point.
Yeah you shouldnt be happy getting bowled out for 243 after winning the toss. No matter how hard one tries to spin it. Especially being 100/1.

But now we have to see how well we bat.

true its much better than what they would have expected after the first session, but much worse than what they would have expected early after tea

Graeme Smith is trying to make a point, yes?
On the umpires? Could be, or he might just be highlighting something he noticed that was topical. The comment could have been interpreted either way if it wasn't just an observation- the Aussies can't be trusted or the umpires are displaying favouritism. We all know which is more likely though

Rabada has a huge range of strokes for a tailenders. A couple of those boundaries today were shots that top order bats struggle to play. I hope (and expect) to see him scoring more heavily in the future.
