That's exactly it.

The atmosphere is good to be a part of but weighing it up the way you put it wins for me now.

I know Australian TV used to restrict cricket viewing where the game was on ? Not sure if that happens anymore ?
Hasn’t happened (in Victoria at least) since the mid-00s.

At the end of the day, would you rather sit on some plastic chair in 30 degree heat with some ordinary expensive beer and from a dodgy angle where you can't even see the balll...or watch it on HD from home
The former I'm afraid. It is a ''day at the cricket'', i.e., not just the sport but the whole experience of arsing around in a cricket ground for an entire day, that I like.

I'd agree except in Australia you dont want to be sitting in the sun all day . Furthermore, drinks and food are horribly overpriced.

In saying that, I still go to the Sydney test every year but it certainly damages my bank account

I suppose I am speaking more from the perspective of county cricket where you can bring your own booze in. Yes the booze is ridiculous at tests. In the UK £6ish per pint as I recall.

A mention of Candice's toilet cubicle shenanigans apparently regarding the spat between De Kock and Warner.

Well there are reports that Warner wasnt to kind about De Kocks family.

I was wondering before maybe De Kock is a douche bag for saying those things about Warners wife for no reason or provocation. But maybe there is more to the story than De Kock suddenly saying to Warner his wife is "easy".

Went to the Ashes this year, first time to live Cricket in a while. $200aud for me and a mate. $8 a cup iirc for a handful of the worst beers available in Australia. 20 minute round trip per beer run. Seating more cramped than Tigerair. ***** building beer cup snakes, which is mildly amusing from afar, but when one passes over you and you get covered in backwash not so much. Ended up across the road at the pub by tea with better beer, air-con and a bunch of ***** much lower on the spectrum than those at the ground
