Fairly good win for us. Disappointing that we didn't finish them off when we had SA for 4/40 odd but it was essentially game over at that point

Post-match comments going along predictable lines; Faf disappointed with the confrontation on the stairwell while Smith unhappy QDK made it personal while he believed Oz never did that with him.

Regardless of Warner being a short-tempered shorty, seriously keep families out of it. **** thing to do, regardless of cultural differences.
Seems like common sense, but if an Australian says it they're made fun of for talking about "crossing the line". Sounds crazy, but maybe it's not just an issue of Australians making random sledging rules, but maybe the other guy actually did cross the line.

. . . ah who am I kidding, if I couldn't talk about ****ing the batsman's mrs the previous night I wouldn't have any sledging material

I can't be the only one who finds this all desperately uninteresting, right?
The only people perpetuating the story are the journalists who have to because it's their job, and bitter fans from other countries trying to further their "Australians are bad" agenda. It was never a story.

Ah a violation of Section C 32.3 in code of sledging.

Who knows what is said on the field. Obviously it's not ideal families are brought up but its not the first time if true. The risk you take when you sledge. There are no boundaries.

Why have you assumed I'm against Australians sledging? I think sledging is fine. If you can pull it off like previous Australian teams, good on you, if not, continue to embarrass yourself like Starc yesterday, doesn't matter to me.

Warner lost his temper and was trying to get physical (I doubt he would have but it sure looks like it) outside the field. Are you defending that just because de Kock may have said a few naughty words and hurt his feelings?
Not at all and I agree with your post. I've also said its stupid to motivate a player who's down on form. So i think it back fired. I just mentioned that De Kock isn't entirely blameless, that's all.

I've heard the wives and girlfriends of the other players love him

Because when the players go out on tour he's such a potent woman repellent that the blokes couldn't cheat even if they wanted to

**** Durban.

2 losses in 16 tests.

Now 6 losses in 8.

I see groundsman and staff were moaning about lack of financial assistance ! Please ! Always excuses.

I don't think they could get Durban back to what it used to be. Pity really.

Having this type of wicket is enough for 1 of our 5 main test grounds at PE.

Well done to Australia. Knocked us down early. Their seam attack is relentless.

Saffers tried to fight but got going too late. Senior batsman need to step up.

Problem is it takes 1 bowler like Morkel to be off it and Vern to not be as much of a threat as he can be on a wicket like this to put us down to 2 bowlers with BIG threat and that pushed Australia to a very good 1st innings score of 350 on that wicket setting the game up well for them.

It's all dire and pointless but if it fires up the players and results in some exciting cricket (like India-Australia last year), it's tolerable. TBF, these two teams have always had trouble with sledging and bad behaviour/bullying etc. when they've faced each other. Not a lot of love lost. I can't remember one Aus-SA series where there wasn't some off-field drama, trash talking etc (Faf ball tampering incident, Clarke-Steyn standoff, Warner accusing SA of ball-tampering after the 2nd Test in 2014 etc.).

And who can forget the barking, which Warner led. Act like a dog, get spanked like a dog I say.

de Kock did nothing wrong, fine Warner and lets move on to having really boring cricket and scandal-free cricket once more.
