Starred in the HK T20 Blitz two years running, personally can't think of any better use of one's talent tbh

Classic no-rounder. Good player at the next level down but was never going to be a success at international level.

Massive overachiever. A player like him managing to play so much international cricket is an inspiration to hacks everywhere.

Cool guy though

2 men that will never play test cricket

Which one will South Africa regret never picking David Miller or Rilee Rossouw?

David Miller is not a Test cricketer.

Rossouw maybe unlucky, but his was more poor timing than anything else. Reckon he'd have gotten more of a go if he didn't go Kolpak. He might come back du Plessis style anyway?

Miller could end up playing test cricket. Only 28 and there aren’t many good batsmen around domestically.

Cricket South Africa weren't particularly happy about the way he left as he did it without telling anyone - with Kyle Abbott they did at least know that he was considering leaving even if they did think they'd convinced him to stay. So he may have burned his bridges there.

But it he'd stayed he definitely would played some tests as he would have been ahead of De Bruyn in the pecking order. That is if he hadn't been injured as he did seem to pick them up at inopportune times, which was what resulted in other batsman making the test side ahead of him. So I don't know that South Africa will regret not picking him in the sense of a selection oversight, but perhaps rather regret that they weren't able to pick him.

I thought Rossouw made the wrong call there. He definitely had a LO career ahead of him at the very least. Now it's probably going to be restricted to T20 leagues.
